Salvo Global's 3 days "Project Cost Control and Risk Management" master class
would discuss the application, measurement and interpretation of results based on Earned Value Management
(EVM) principles together with options for corrective action where necessary; which would then help offer
answers to project cost control issues and introduce delegates to straightforward approaches to accurately
developing a cost baseline and setting up a cost tracking system so that the budget is well managed during
the project's life cycle. This program is of great value to those project managers who wish to
proactively handle risk management in large projects.
The trainer is an accredited project manager (PMI PMP®). He brings close to 40 years of experience in
project delivery and over 25 years of training experience. He has worked with companies across globe and
across both public and private sectors in a variety of industries like Telecommunications, Information
Technology, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Airline Industry, Financial Services, Health Care,
Pharmaceutical, Education, Non Profit, Legal and many more!
The trainer employs tried and tested best practice based on the PMI PMBOK® Guide Global standard, PMI
Practice Standard for Risk Management and for Earned Value Management using standard project management

A New Product from Deltek Acumen: Deltek RiskBook
Cut through the noise of endless meetings and countless spreadsheets with a collaborative, consensus-based
approach to tracking and mitigating project and corporate risks.
Deltek RiskBook is a cloud-based, collaborative risk register that unlocks the expertise of
project team members, stakeholders, and even end users. With Deltek RiskBook, every participant in the risk
management process is heard with real-time voting that presents clear options for selecting risks and their
impacts on cost (how much will it impact budget) and schedule (how much of a delay could it cause). RiskBook uses
these inputs to calculate instantly the team consensus for each risk giving you immediate insight into the
highest scored risks and their probability of occurring.
It's a well known fact that presenting at a UKOUG event raises your profile and provides a
credible platform to share your experiences, hints and tips with fellow users.
